According to Google’s Helpful Content Update 2022:
Here are the most important evaluation focus points from Google’s major algorithm update:
👉 Does the headline and/or page title provide a descriptive, helpful summary of the content?
👉 Is the content showing any signs of extensive automation?
(e.g. Standardised titles & descriptions)
👉 Does the content provide a substantial, complete or comprehensive description of the topic?
(is it based on the visitors initial needs, wants, pain points & geographical locations?)
👉 Was the content produced well, or does it appear hastily produced?
👉 Does the content provide original & unique information, such as research, explainers, comparisons, alternatives, or custom-made analysis - or is it using other sources of content as a basis for its own?
👉 Is it possible that the content is mass-produced by or outsourced to creators or spread across a large network of sites, so that individual pages / business cases or sites don’t get as much attention or care?
👉 Does the content seem to be serving the genuine interests of visitors?
(Answering questions, and solving problems).
👉 After reading, will someone want to bookmark, share or leave feeling they've learned enough about a topic to help achieve their goal?
👉 Does the content provide substantial value when compared to other pages in search results?
